 The Regional Sales Director  will lead the execution of commercial strategies to meet goals and objectives for all Zogenix products in the assigned region

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement regional business plans and sales strategies to ensure region meets or exceeds assigned sales goals
  • Model Zogenix vision and high standards of behavior to regional team and customers
  • Manage region, district and territory alignment to ensure that markets for all products are properly identified, reached and cultivated
  • Support the standards for product knowledge and skill development training for all regional team members to ensure a high degree of commercial effectiveness.
  • Conduct meetings to ensure clear and ongoing communication with employees.
  • Manage diversity to ensure that equal opportunities exist for all qualified employees.
  • Manage and develop the overall talent of the region via the build out of career paths and ongoing training
  • Allocate, manage, and control regional expense budgets.
  • Motivate, recognize and reward individual and team achievements utilizing bonuses, recognition programs, and personal recognition to promote and reinforce high achievement.
  • Complete any and all required training and certifications within the designated time frames.
  • Complete all required paperwork and administrative duties.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain high achievers within the customer facing team
  • Embrace, follow and lead through Zogenix values, policies, practices and standards to support of our customers, patients and fellow employees

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of successful proven team leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Master's degree of Business Administration and/or advance clinical/science degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in marketing or enterprise role.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • Varied experience in a range of roles and job functions in commercial space

 Other Qualifications

  • Lead and focus team around business strategy, planning, and tactical execution.
  • Lead collaborations with all matrix partners to achieve common goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner closely with marketing to develop, implement, and execute strategy.
  • Strong people management skills to understand needs of team members and develop plans to improve performance
  • Coach the team to develop a deep understanding of financial, organizational, and clinical needs of each customer
  • Demonstrate knowledge of local healthcare trends including healthcare reform, technology, and customer insights
